Summary

The problem with secrets is that they're too easy to keep collecting。Luna Allen has done some things she would rather no one ever know about。 She also knows that, if she could go back in time, she wouldn't change a single thing。With three sisters she loves, a job she (mostly) adores, and a family built up of friends she's made over the years, Luna figures everything has worked out the way it was supposed to。 But when one of those secrets involves the man who signs her paycheck, she can't find it in her to regret it。 Despite the fact that he's not the friendliest man in the world。 Or the most patient。Sometimes there are things you're better off keeping to yourself。------#1 Overall Amazon Kindle Best Seller

This book is the slowest of slow burns I have ever read。 Marina zapata is a queeen I’ve read four of her books now and she doesn’t disappoint。

this book was SO fucking good。 the only reason it's not 5 stars is because i felt like some things were getting too repetitive at the end but i love luna and i love ripley so much they're absolutely insane。 this is gonna be a comfort book for me for sure。 mz you never miss 4。5 stars this book was SO fucking good。 the only reason it's not 5 stars is because i felt like some things were getting too repetitive at the end but i love luna and i love ripley so much they're absolutely insane。 this is gonna be a comfort book for me for sure。 mz you never miss 4。5 stars 。。。more

I like the others so much more, I just didn't like Ripley and I would have liked a little bit more retribution with the assholes。 I like the others so much more, I just didn't like Ripley and I would have liked a little bit more retribution with the assholes。 。。。more

i read the first half of this about a month ago and read this last half in a day。this was cute and i really liked the main character luna and mr cooper her boss and father figure at the mechanic shop。i also liked how she was the only woman working there and it wasn’t made a big deal of by her colleagues。all the family drama was a bit unnecessary to me and this was very slow burn which i don’t mind but rip sabotaging her dates behind her back didn’t sit right with me。i liked that he was pining fo i read the first half of this about a month ago and read this last half in a day。this was cute and i really liked the main character luna and mr cooper her boss and father figure at the mechanic shop。i also liked how she was the only woman working there and it wasn’t made a big deal of by her colleagues。all the family drama was a bit unnecessary to me and this was very slow burn which i don’t mind but rip sabotaging her dates behind her back didn’t sit right with me。i liked that he was pining for years for her and that he called her baby girl which was wholesome but i wish he could’ve shown he was jealous without literally scaring any other competition away… like pls let her come to you first。not my favourite mariana zapata book (all rhodes lead here <3) but this was still cute。 。。。more

There are absolutely no words that would do Luna and Rip justice。 Zapata is by far one of the best authors of our time, she is the QUEEEEN of slow burn🙌🏻

After reading some reviews I thought I would dislike this book, I only read it as I was working my way through all of Mariana Zapata’s collection, but I was pleasantly surprised! I say read, but I actually listened on audible and I loved it, I loved the story, the narration and I loved Rip。 I will definitely re-read in the future!

I enjoyed this audio book and it's well written。 While the narration was all from Luna's POV, Rip's dialogue throughout was actually spoken by a male narrator, which was a surprise and really worked。 I wish more audio books did that, rather than a sole narrator simply changing his or her voice for the other H/h。 Even books with 2 narrators reading first person do this for the alternate character。 The back story was entertaining, but this book was yet again soooo slowwww burn it did get a bit ted I enjoyed this audio book and it's well written。 While the narration was all from Luna's POV, Rip's dialogue throughout was actually spoken by a male narrator, which was a surprise and really worked。 I wish more audio books did that, rather than a sole narrator simply changing his or her voice for the other H/h。 Even books with 2 narrators reading first person do this for the alternate character。 The back story was entertaining, but this book was yet again soooo slowwww burn it did get a bit tedious after a while, as nothing much happened in a lot of chapters except for daily life。 There's lots of drama, heartbreak and a beautifully written romance scene - at the end。。。Having now read - or listened to - almost all of this author's back list in the last year or so, the male and female characters are starting to sound really similar to each other。 Insert different names and jobs, rinse, repeat。 So my advice is not to read these books as quickly as I have - space them out a bit。 。。。more

Luna had a terrible childhood, and when she left to start a new life, she caught a break with Mr Cooper who gave her a break and trained her to work at his auto body shop。 Fast forward and Luna is now the main painter for the auto shop, but a few years ago Mr Cooper brought on a partner who is rude to everyone and goes by Ripley when expanding the shop。 When Luna’s grandma dies she asks Ripley to attend the funeral with her since he owes her a favor, and soon they find a friendship forming。 🚗Wor Luna had a terrible childhood, and when she left to start a new life, she caught a break with Mr Cooper who gave her a break and trained her to work at his auto body shop。 Fast forward and Luna is now the main painter for the auto shop, but a few years ago Mr Cooper brought on a partner who is rude to everyone and goes by Ripley when expanding the shop。 When Luna’s grandma dies she asks Ripley to attend the funeral with her since he owes her a favor, and soon they find a friendship forming。 🚗Workplace/ Boss/ Employee🚗Age Gap🚗Grumpy/ Sunshine🚗M/F SLOW BURN🚗One Bed (Ft。 Nightmares)🚗Tattooed MMCBoth characters have damaged pasts and help each other heal。 This was a bit darker than some of the other books I’ve read by MZ but still sweet as hell。 Ripley is nothing but cranky and gruff with everyone around him, but Luna really softens him。 He is slow to show his feelings, but once he does he is all in。 Luna really tries to stay positive all the time since she has had much worse happen in her life。 She is strong and not afraid to stand up for herself, but not too scared to ask for help when she needs it。 All MZ books give me heart butterflies at some point, but when Rip uses “Baby Girl” catch me blushin。 Available on KU。 Audiobook has a duet narration which took a minute to get used to but I really liked it and added something extra to the story。 ⭐️4。5/5🌶1。25/5 。。。more

People don’t just change who they are the way Rip does。 That what bugged me the most。 Plus, the romance part could’ve been a little longer。 There was too much filler and not enough good stuff。 Overall, it was 2。2/5 stars for me。

hmmm i hate that i don’t get rip's pov that made me feel like i didn’t know him well and i loooove a grump but he sometimes rubbed me the wrong way。 Idk i feel like their personalities match cause he can snap at her and luna would just take it cause she’s the ‘sweetest’ person on earth。 didn’t love this one as much as i loved all rhodes lead here sadly。 him calling her baby gorl? no thank u。 hmmm i hate that i don’t get rip's pov that made me feel like i didn’t know him well and i loooove a grump but he sometimes rubbed me the wrong way。 Idk i feel like their personalities match cause he can snap at her and luna would just take it cause she’s the ‘sweetest’ person on earth。 didn’t love this one as much as i loved all rhodes lead here sadly。 him calling her baby gorl? no thank u。 。。。more

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH SJKDHDKDND lucas ripley’s character is done so well and you can tell how much he simps for her but he DOESNT SHOW IT。 i love our strong heroine who is the cutest and strongest person and almost oblivious to his care for her! the slow burn is done so well but that’s an obvious with mariana zapata <3

No, but it’s not the worst I’ve read in general。 This was a long ass book。 This was double the size of books I typically read。 I’m surprised I got through it all since it was a very slow burn, but I really enjoyed the writing, so props to the author for that。 However, my issue was with the romance and the characters。 The romance was eh。 Like it appeared for two seconds but that’s pretty much it。 I was seriously wondering at one p This book was ok。 Was it the best I’ve ever read from this author?
